If silence swallows my silver words and all my melodies have fled,
Would you still seek my quiet sighs, In echoes lost, in songs unspun?
Would you still hear, with tender eyes, The verses my soul leaves undone?
If shadows claim
my poet’s hand, And dreams dissolve in hush and night, Would you still trace in drifting sand, The rhymes I once set down in light?
If I leave without saying goodbye,
Would you still call my name in the wind?
Would you search for me in the evening sky,
Where fading stars and sorrows blend?
Would you gather the words I left unsaid,
Like petals lost to time’s embrace?
Would you remember the paths i tread,
And find my footprints in their place?
If I told you I'm not that beautiful sunset you paint in your dream,
Nor the braveheart dame you think of me as,
Would you still love me,
As the quiet storm I truly am?
