The ENACTUS ABU team secured second place at the 2025 Nationals Competition held on July 2nd and 3rd, 2025, at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Organized annually, the competition brings together students from 36 institutions across Nigeria to present innovative ideas that empower communities and drive social and economic progress. The winning team earns the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the ENACTUS World Cup.

This year’s top prize went to Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, who will represent ENACTUS Nigeria at the World Cup scheduled to hold in Bangkok, Thailand.

For the 2025 competition, ENACTUS ABU presented two business projects; Pup Industries and Neempest, both of which have been in operation for nearly six years. Together, the businesses generated ₦15 million in revenue this year alone.

Reacting to the results, Ramatu, General Secretary of the ENACTUS ABU team, stated: “Seeing this year's national competition, it is clear that the ENACTUS ABU team is the standard because every other team tries to model us. However, the outcome shows that in order to come out first, there is a need to undergo a continuous revamping of our methods.”

In addition to the main competition, the team also placed second in a side challenge organized by Schneider Electric in partnership with ENACTUS Nigeria, winning a cash prize of $1,500.

Speaking about the 2025 competition, which coincided with the organization’s 25th anniversary, ENACTUS Nigeria noted: “The Enactus Nigeria National Competition 2025 and 25th year anniversary celebration cannot be restricted to a single word, but if one were to be chosen, success would be the most appropriate.”

The ENACTUS ABU team’s performance reaffirms its role as a leading force in youth led innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
