In the late hours of yesterday, the Mass Communication Students Association (MACOSA) hosted a virtual workshop on modern photography and videography, aimed at equipping students with the skills to tell compelling stories through visual content. Organized in collaboration with the Ahmadu Bello University Campus Press (ACP), the session brought together students and media enthusiasts to explore the creative and technical aspects of visual storytelling. Facilitated by two seasoned professionals; Abubakar Ogaji, a videographer and photographer, and Harun Saeed, a videographer. The workshop offered rich insights into the evolving landscape of digital media. Both speakers emphasized the importance of creativity, composition, and storytelling in the digital age. Students from all academic levels (100 to 400) within and outside the Department of Mass Communication actively participated in the session. Among the key attendees were Abdullahi Adebiyi, President of MACOSA, and Ibrahim Abdussalam, President of ACP, alongside executives from both organizations. The interactive workshop not only broadened participants understanding of visual content creation but also inspired them to explore innovative ways of using digital media to tell stories that matter.
